Mobile news reporting workshop
Times have changed and we need to get smart.
I mean using your smart phone.
Join us for a special workshop on smart phone reporting: 9 to noon, Thursday, April 5, 218 s. Wabash, 7th floor, Chicago, Il.
You’ll learn the basics of how to use hand-held devices as a journalistic tool. With the help of social media, apps and some gear, you’ll immerse yourself in the best practices for reporting, editing and sharing stories to any media platform with your smart phone.
Our trainer is Deb Wenger, a veteran tv news director and producer who now teaches at the University of Mississippi. She is a member of the national training staff for the Social of Professional Journalists, which is supporting this training.
This is a training for ethnic news media provided by the Community Media Workship.
