The hunger for the truth- el hambre de la verdad

In Cuba where Joani Sanchez has been a blogger and now the spirit of an online newspaper, she survives by innovation. By carefully choosing her words. By talking about the price of potatoes instead of the price of human rights lost. By reaching out to others and beyond Cuba to insure that if something happens to her or her family or her team of citizen journalists, their fate will not perish in silence. Here this week at the invitation of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, she tells this story of the great importance of her words in her country.

It’s a belief that most storytellers share.
