refugeesThey haven’t stopped coming. No. There are more of them, in fact.

They are coming from Central America in getting numbers because the despair is greater and the failed American dream for many on the road hasn’t snared them yet.

This is a story among the many to cover as we plunge ahead into deciphering the reality of immigration in the U.S.

That’s why you should consider the event this Friday, May 17, honoring Padre Alejandro Solalinde’s Caravan Hope – an effort that helps the thousands of Latino Americans who struggle and often fall on their way to the US. The event is from 3 to 4 pm at the DePaul Center, 1 E. Jackson, De Paul University.

It is sponsored by the Council for a Parliament of World Religions, Coalicion Humanitaria Internacional Pro-Migrante and De Paul University.
